Summer lovin…
Finally…summer has arrived in Seattle. This sunshine and mid 70′s-80′s weather is exactly what Seattleites crave during the dreary, long, winters. Just as Joel and I were pulling away from our driveway heading to the ariport for our east coast 4th of July adventure, that blue sky and glimmering Lake Union waterfront were in full effect. No place is as beautiful as Seattle in the sunshine. I hope you all had a great 4th. This is one of my favorite Holiday’s of the year for many reasons. You never can beat the food, company, sunshine, red, white & blue color coordinated outfits that you only wear once a year, bottomless drinks, parades, family time and of course fireworks! This year Joel and I jetted off to South Carolina with a quick pit stop at beautiful Savannah, GA! We stayed here at this little B&B for the full experience while in the south.I couldn’t get over the beautiful moss tree’s lining the streets, friendly hello’s, and of course some finger lickin good southern food & sweet tea! I could bathe in sweet tea…yes, it’s that good.
After Savannah we met up with our very dear friends who are recently engaged. Scott Stanzel and Priscilla Jones who showed us a GREAT time in Hilton Head, SC. The 4th was spent boating in the Atlantic, my first ever trip to the redneck riviera sand bar, a yummy 30th Birthday celebration, beach time, and of course spectacular fireworks.
All in all, a great trip and exactly what I wanted to do while crossing the big line into my 30′s (gasp). Thanks to my sweet man Joel for organizing this trip and the future Stanzel’s for making it very memorable. Can’t wait to go back to the south soon! Such a special long weekend we will all remember.Looking forward to lots more summer lovin…up next my first Olympic distance triathlon in Lake Chelan, WA., our annual Priest Lake Kristin family weekend, San Diego getaway, and weddings galore! I can’t wait. We are so blessed with such wonderful friends and family. Here are a few more pics of our fun times. Still smiling!
